Paddle your kayak below dramatic sea cliffs and along stunning beaches, all within 20 km of the city of Hobart. Starting out on this 7-hour program you’ll travel by comfortable air-conditioned minivan from Hobart to the launch site at Tinderbox beach. Spend the day exploring the coastline along the Tinderbox Marine Nature Reserve, paddling toward the mouth of the historic Derwent River. You’ll pass rugged cliffs and head into sea caves and enjoy views across to Bruny Island. Be on the lookout for marine life: You may see sea eagles, stingrays, seals and even dolphins and whales. Enjoy a delicious picnic lunch featuring fresh Tasmanian products on a sandy beach, before continuing past the majestic alum cliffs to the end point, nearly in sight of Hobart city. Your guide will point out places of interest and provide informative commentary about the animal and plant life.
