Description
On this Bruny Island overnight explorer, enjoy 2 days of pure indulgence including accommodation, nature, and food. On this first day, enjoy the ferry journey to Bruny Island, crossing the d’Entrecasteaux Channel, one of Tasmania's most popular waterways boasting 300km of coastlines around the island and channel. The Mavista Falls walk takes you into the Tree Fern forests and to the waterfall. Alternatively, you can join the boat cruise from 10:30 AM to 2:00 PM, for an extra cost. Then, head over Mount Mangana to Lunawanna, through rainforests, and experience amazing scenery across the island. Stop for a late lunch at Bruny Island Premium Wines. Join a wine tasting, and enjoy selecting from the extensive menu which focusses on local produce. Enjoy your lunch with a glass of wine of your choice. You can also select a bottle of Bruny Island Premium Wine to take back to your accommodation. After, visit the South Bruny National Park and experience your private tour of the Cape Bruny Lighthouse. Evening dining is at Hotel Bruny who are world renowned for providing a wonderful seafood chowder, slow-cooked local lamb, and many other hearty dishes. Wash this down with a Bruny Island cider or local beer. Your guide will escort you to your 4.5 Star accommodation after your evening meal. We partner with Bruny Island escapes and offer carefully selected properties to ensure all your needs are met. The property selected for you is dependent on your group size. On day 2, breakfast is supplied and prepared by you in your own kitchen. You will depart by 9:00 AM and enjoy a bush walk to either grass point which is a very easy 1-hour return walk that is suitable for children or a 2.5-hour return to Fluted Cape which is a medium grade walk. Walks can be changed to suit your ability and should be discussed prior to the tour commencing. The Fluted Cape walk allows you to experience dry forests and whaling history. Enjoy spectacular views towards the Tasman Peninsula. White Wallaby are seen on this walk on most days. Along the way, visit the local chocolate makers, then onto the Neck Wildlife Zone with amazing views across Adventure Bay towards Fluted Cape, Tasman Peninsula, and d’Entrecasteaux Channel. Pay respect to the Nuenonne People, the original residents of Bruny Island. Enjoy a relaxing lunch at the local cheese and beer makers at Bruny Island Cheese Co, and sit down to a feed of freshly shucked oysters at Get Shucked Oyster Bar. Then, visit Bruny Island Honey before heading back to Hobart to be dropped at your accommodation.Includes
