Coastal Fishing and Diving Cruise in Southern Tasmania
This 4.5-hour cruise suits fishing and diving enthusiasts exploring southern Tasmania’s coastal waters, offering wildlife sightings and fresh local seafood.
Description
Begin with a scenic cruise along southern Tasmania’s rugged cliffs, tranquil bays, and secluded shorelines. The route varies daily based on weather and sea conditions.
Watch for dolphins, seals, sea eagles, and black-faced cormorants. On clear days, see the historic Iron Pot Lighthouse from a distance.
After about 40 minutes, arrive at your fishing or diving spot. Anglers can catch reef fish such as gurnard perch, jackass morwong, bluethroat, leatherjacket, flathead, pike, and Australian salmon. Note that sharks must be released within the shark refuge area. Certified divers can harvest crayfish, abalone, or sea urchins with a recreational fishing license required for lobster and abalone.
Onboard, enjoy fresh fruit, Tasmanian oysters, salmon sashimi, A5/M9 wagyu, lamb chops, and desserts. Use the boat's cooking facilities to prepare your freshly caught seafood to share with family and friends.
Relax in a sheltered cove selected based on wind and sea conditions for your meal. On the return trip, calm waters allow guests to try steering the boat and take photos.
