Starting and finishing in Hobart, discover Tasmania’s nature, history, wildlife, and main attractions, as well as some of our favourite local destinations. Our personalised small group tour journeys to the West, North West and East Coasts, Bruny Island and Port Arthur on the Tasman Peninsula, while allowing plenty of time to enjoy Hobart over a few evenings. We explore Tasmania’s famous National Parks, take a river cruise along the Gordon River into the rainforests of the World Heritage Area, and get to see Tasmanian devils at a wildlife sanctuary. Our small group tour has a maximum of 20 guests. This tour is designed for mature travelers seeking a more relaxed pace of travel. We'll guide you on several easy-grade short walks each day as we explore Tasmania. Many of these walks are among Tasmania's very best short walk experiences enabling you to connect to nature in Tasmania's wild places. There is also the option of more moderate graded walks in Cradle Mountain and Freycinet National Park for guests who want to challenge themselves a little bit more. - How active is this tour? This is an active tour, with short walks every day. Most walks are classified as easy to moderate. All walks are optional and guests with moderate fitness and good mobility will be able to maximise this tour. Example easy walk: Russell Falls (Mount Field National Park) - 25 minutes return, 1.4km return. Flat even surface with no steps or steep sections. It’s a short and beautiful walk to Tasmania’s favourite waterfall. Example moderate walk - Dove Lake Circuit (Cradle Mountain National Park) 2-3 hour circuit, 6km circuit. Tracks may have short steep hill sections, a rough surface and many steps. The well-formed track offers stunning views of Cradle Mountain and passes through diverse terrains, including buttongrass moorlands, rainforest, and beaches.
