Enjoy a 2-hour drive in a comfortable air-conditioned minivan along scenic roads to beautiful Fortescue Bay, in the heart of the Tasman National Park. During this 10-hour excursion from Hobart, you’ll paddle a sea kayak beneath 200-meter-high cliffs and toward Cape Hauy, the Candlestick and the world-famous Totem Pole. You’ll see abundant wildlife and be on the lookout for the Australian fur seals that sun themselves on the rocks. You’re likely to spot dolphins, sea eagles, penguins – and if you’re very lucky, even whales. Enjoy a delicious picnic lunch with fresh local products at a secluded bay before paddling back along the coast. Pause at a semi-submerged shipwreck on the way. Your guides will tell you about the natural history and wildlife of the region as you soak up the beauty of this stunning stretch of Tasmania’s coastline.
