Customs House Waterfront Restaurant
Tasmania
Seafood and Fish
With windows overlooking the multitude of boats that fill the docks and piers, Customs House Waterfront Restaurant is a superb location to do a spot of sightseeing whilst you enjoy the delicious range of seafood on offer. Aside from the food, the building itself draws enough plaudits, with a welcoming open fireplace and rustic timber fittings that give an old-style ambience to the restaurant.
With fresh ingredients that are bought locally in Hobart, head chef Alex creates exciting flavours and unique tastes that will appeal to all types of foodies; the scallops in particular have become a renowned signature dish. The fish, bought from fishermen on Constitution dock, is second-to-none and customers will have to search hard to find better Atlantic salmon.
Although diners can expect regular favourites to feature on the menu – seafood baskets, paella, seafood linguine and more – it is worth ringing the restaurant beforehand to find out their latest changes.
