Depart Launceston at 7:30am and travel through the scenic countryside to Sheffield, famously known as the Town of Murals. From here, continue into the mountains, passing through dramatic gorges, lush temperate rainforest, and sweeping button grass plains before arriving at Cradle Mountain, one of Tasmania’s most iconic and most visited natural landmarks. On this fully guided day tour, you’ll explore the World Heritage listed Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park and discover its unique flora, fauna, and striking geological features. Your guide will share insights into the park’s natural and cultural history while leading you through some of its most beautiful landscapes. • The stop at Dove Lake is approximately 1 hr, there are various man-made short walks accessible for most people. Within this tour we walk to Glacier Rock and The Boatshed. Access to these areas are dependent on the weather and passenger suitability.
• The Weindorfers forest walk is a short stroll through a cool climate rainforest (subject to timing on the day)
• Pickup is from 7:30 AM. Hotel drop-off is from 5:30 PM
• This tour operates in all weather conditions. Wind, rain and snow can occur anytime of the year. Please wear enclosed shoes and suitable warm clothing.
