Description
The tour departs Launceston at 7:30am and travels via Sheffield, known as the Town of Murals, before ascending through gorges, rainforest, and button grass plains to Cradle Mountain. This iconic Tasmanian landmark is within the World Heritage-listed national park.
Experience unique flora, fauna, and geographical features over approximately 4 hours of walking, including a lunch break.
This is a Grade 3 walk requiring some bushwalking experience. Tracks include short steep sections, rough surfaces, and many steps.
Weather in Tasmania can be unpredictable, especially in alpine areas, with possible snow, rain, wind, and sun year-round. Bushfires can occur from October to March. For your safety and to protect the environment, always stay on marked tracks and observe all track signs.
