Description

Enjoy panoramic views from the summit of kunanyi/Mt Wellington, including the Derwent River, Hobart, and surrounding suburbs. The tour includes an escorted visit to the Observatory and short walks at the Springs and Western Wilderness Lookout.

Next, visit Richmond, a historic town dating back to the 1820s. Explore the oldest convict-built road bridge in Australia, the historic gaol, Georgian mansions, and unique shops and galleries. There is time to browse local crafts or sample Tasmanian produce at cafes and restaurants.

Conclude the afternoon at Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary with a guided tour that introduces native animals such as Tasmanian devils, quolls, wombats, sugar gliders, cockatoos, echidnas, and wallabies. Guests can hand-feed free-roaming animals and photograph wildlife up close. The tour returns to Brooke St Pier by 5:30pm.
