Description
Visit Dysart House and the Old Kempton Distillery, where single malt whiskies are crafted using 100% Tasmanian ingredients. The tour includes access to the distillery’s bond store and grounds, where you can view various whisky barrels maturing over time. The house is also known for its ghost stories, adding an intriguing layer to your visit.
After the tour, relax in the Cask Lounge located in the former Old Kempton coaching inn cellar door. Enjoy a guided tasting featuring four different single malt whiskies from Old Kempton Distillery accompanied by a Tasmanian antipasto platter, normally valued at $80.
Since November 2015, Dysart House has been the home of the fully functioning Old Kempton Distillery. In addition to whisky, they produce gin, liqueurs, and other specialty spirits. Additional tastings are available on-site but are not included in the standard tour price.
