The Long Lunch Tour Company is keen to share with you the cool climate vineyards and wines of the Hobart and Freycinet regions of Tasmania, coupled with sampling fine food and produce that Tasmania is fast establishing a reputation for.
The Long Lunch Tour Company currently offers a choice of four tour options with two commencing in Hobart and two at Coles Bay, which is close to Freycinet National Park on Tasmania's East Coast.
The tours are:
Southern Gourmet Safari: An afternoon tour in the Hobart region with visits to three vineyards. The last vineyard is Moorilla Estate located next to the Museum of Old and New Art (MONA) where you may skip the behind the scenes tour and tasting and opt to visit MONA instead.
Wine-dy Roads of Freycinet Coast: Departs at 11am from Coles Bay with visits to a marine farm with oyster, scallop and mussel tastings, two vineyards including a delightful lunch at one, and a visit to a berry farm with fresh berries in season, berry products, handmade chocolates, delightful icecream and more.
Afternoon Delights: Can be one of two afternoon tours that depart at 1pm, one in the Freycinet area and one in the Hobart area. Enjoy tastings at three vineyards along with sampling some local culinary delights. Hobart tour can include a visit to MONA whilst the Freycinet tour includes a stop at Freycinet Marine Farm.
Hobart to Freycinet Epicurean Epic: A big day out departing Hobart at 9.30am and concluding approximately 7.30pm, you will go through the historic town of Richmond on the way to the East Coast, with visits to three vineyards. Enjoy a fine lunch and delightful accompaniments at tastings. Head on for a coffee and handmade chocolate at Kate's berry Farm or a berry ice cream before heading back to Hobart with a stop at Buckland to see Australia's oldest stained glass window and learn its fascinating history.
