Local tip
The restaurant on the ground floor, Meccas, serves generous size portions so is a great place to fill up. If you eat too much and need a walk, the beach and boardwalk are just a couple of minutes away.

Enjoy a stay at the IKON Hotel, a boutique hotel in the heart of Burnie. The hotel has been completely refurbished and the 12 suites are unique in shape, size and design and all are luxurious and generously appointed. All have king-size beds, Italian leather furniture and beautiful ornate mirrors that are way bigger than large! Basic breakfast provisions are provided. Formerly known as The Club Hotel, it really has undergone a transformation from its previous life of having 60 beds of club-style accommodation. Heritage features such as pressed metal ceilings and timber bannisters have been retained in what is one of Burnie's 17 heritage-listed properties. It has quite a history being first built in 1912 at a cost of £3500!

Enjoy views over the city and the ocean from the wrought-iron adorned balconies. A walk to the beach will probably take you sixty seconds if you get the run of the two sets of traffic lights.

Free Wifi access is available, as well as daily newspapers.

The location makes for easy access to the waterfront, boardwalk and restaurants in Burnie and also the attractions of North West of Tasmania. Secure and private access is available, along with secure parking provided a short walk from the hotel.

Tracy, the manager, and her team are dedicated and very particular, aiming to make sure everything is in place for an enjoyable stay.
