Directions to Franklin River Rafting

Elias and Franzi, owners of Franklin River Rafting offer 8 and 10 day rafting adventures on the beautiful Franklin River, ranked among the world's top wild water rivers and part of the World HeritageFranklin-Gordon Wild Rivers National Park.

No previous rafting experience is necessary and all gear is supplied including fresh cooked meals, safety gear and video and still images of your trip. Cost of parks passes and bus transfers is included in the price.

The 8 day trip covers the full length of the river from the Collingwood Bridge on the Lyell Highway to the west coast township of Strahan, and runs over two weekends to minimise time off needed to be taken from work.

The 10 day trips includes an attempt at reaching the summit of Frenchmans Cap (weather permitting) which is a two day walk from the Lyell Highway, and avoids the muddy trek across the Lodden Plains. Sample itinerary.

Franklin River Rafting also cater for groups who want a tailored adventure taking more or less than the 8 or 10 day trips.
