Stamps of Stanley
Tasmania
Stamps of Stanley shares the building of Stanley's post office, meaning it is the centre of Stanley! Enjoy a stay at the Customs House or The Exchange or take both for a larger group.
Having been built in 1897, the building was the original 'Customs House and Telephone Exchange' and post office, which still operates from the premises. Your hosts are Peter and Lynda Stoner who run the post office as well as Stamps of Stanley.
Stamps of Stanley is made up of the Customs House Ensuite Studio and the Exchange Ensuite Studio.
The Customs House Ensuite Studio sleeps up to five people and is situated above the post office, so enjoy the views and also the sloping ceilings which make it quite unique.
The Exchange Ensuite Studio is at ground level and caters for couples. It contains a queen size bed and has full kitchen facilities.
On one side are a queen-size bed and a single bed, whilst over the other side is another queen size bed that has a direct access to the bathroom. Between the two sleeping areas is the kitchenette and dining area.
The Exchange Ensuite Studio is at ground level and caters for couples. It contains a queen size bed and has full kitchen facilities.
Amongst others, in the same street you will find a bakery, a breakfast bar and the Stanley Hotel. Across the road is the start of the walking track to the top of the Nut, an ancient volcanic plug. The beach is just 500m away.
