Windmill Hill Lodge was built about 1875 and is a heritage listed Bed and Breakfast with old world charm and is an ideal base for exploring Launceston and the Tamar Valley.

Windmill Hill Lodge is centrally located in the city of Launceston and is within walking distance of the city centre.

The furnishings are in keeping with the Victorian era with the comfort of modern amenities.

Several of the rooms are self catering for those who prefer to provide their own meals and breakfast is served in the spacious dining room. Windmill Hill Lodge provides either a buffet or cooked breakfast and take pride in the quality provided, making their own breads, jams, muffins, stewed fruits, yoghurt, creamed rice, bircher muesli, porridge and more daily.

Also available are freshly ground coffees, juices, cereals and fresh fruit.

Launceston is Tasmania's second largest city and Australia's third oldest and there are many parks and reserves that are well worth a visit. City Park, Punchbowl Reserve and the Cataract Gorge are of particular note.

Launceston is well serviced with restaurants and cafes.
