Mountain Vista Golf Course is a lovely little 9 hole, public access course, overlooking the beautiful historic mining town of Waratah and boasts one of the longest par 5 holes in Tasmania at 579m.
Mountain Vista Golf Course is maintained by a group of dedicated volunteers and so while not being quite up to international standards it presents as enjoyable course to play especially in Spring with the waratahs in bloom.
Par for the course is 70 for 18 holes with a distance of 5254m. There are few bunkers, which are hard based.
Holes 3, 5 and 6 lay over three connected dams which add interest and the second has a small creek to trap the unwary.
