Novaros is a fine dining experience in Italian cuisine. It's a small intimate restaurant in the heart of Launceston, warmly housed in an old Edwardian home. Good use is made of fine Tasmanian produce.

Smoked salmon, goats cheese, fresh mussels, oysters, abalone and quail all feature on Chef Nicholas Hooper’s menu, along with of course fresh vegetables which are locally sourced if possible. Good portion sizes mean you will leave fully satisfied. The knowledge and expertise in the kitchen is extended to the wine list with a thorough range to select from. Wines from Australia are sourced from as near as the Tamar Valley which is virtually just down the road and as far away as Margaret River in Western Australia. European, New Zealand and South African wines also feature, with a good selection available by glass as well as by the bottle. Beer drinkers aren’t forgotten – of course there is Boags (from the brewery which truly is just down the road)! The fine food and wine is well accompanied by professional and friendly service.
