What was once Gladstones Restaurant in 1988, the now Beef & Seafood Grill at Salamanca Inn has continually strived to maintain its highly regarded reputation and deliver the best in no-nonsense food. Found a short distance off Salamanca's main strip, this restaurant deals in hearty portions at affordable prices, offering local seafood, Angus steaks, shared platters and tiers in an open grill style dining.
Once inside, patrons will discover a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and a re-designed menu from head chef Jonbarrie Wilson that caters for all tastes. The house specialities are the huge steaks, selected cuts from grass fed Black Angus cattle in Cape Grim. There is also a three tiered seafood platter that includes all the Hobart favourites; scallops, octopus, prawns, trevella and more fishy delights.
The interior isn’t short of flair and style either, with a snazzy art-deco metal tuna overlooking the kitchen and dining area, not to mention a private bar for pre-dinner drinks.
