The Green Pear Cafe is one of those tucked away places that locals know about but can be hard to find for others. It is easy to find if you walk out of the main entrance of Burnie's multi-storey carpark, passing where you pay.
The cafe faces the carpark and the small playground. It is small with just six tables, so you won't get the hustle and bustle that can be associated with bigger cafes. Or you can sit at the bench that looks out the window, leafing through the magazines as you enjoy your drink, lunch or snack.
The menu is simple with a nice range of gourmet sandwiches, or you can build your own. There is also soup of the day, bruschetta and Caesar salad on offer, as well as the daily specials board to check out. Your test is to see if you can resist the slices and biscuits on offer!
