This popular Irish bar has become an iconic and well-known establishment in the Tasmanian city of Burnie. Part of the Comfort Hotel Burnie, Maginty’s Bar is a casual and relaxed eating and drinking spot which is popular with all the locals.
Said to be the single place in all of Burnie where you can enjoy a good Guinness, Maginty’s has plenty of Australian and Irish drink choices including beers and whiskeys. For those who don’t fancy an Irish or Aussie beer though, the well-liked bar also serves a variety of tasty cocktails.
Alongside the wide range of drinks, nourishing and generous meals are also available on the varied a la carte menu. Designed to please all tastes, the food here is served in the evenings from Monday to Saturday. What’s more, on Friday and Saturday nights fantastic live music takes place, creating a lively atmosphere inside the hotel bar. For guests of the hotel, room charge is available.
