Visit Don Village Railway and see their display of steam and diesel engines and other rolling stock that has played such an important part in Tasmania's rail history. Look through the Museum of historical railway artifacts and photos. Inspect the extensive workshop and site display. Take a half hour ride on a genuine vintage train along the old Melrose line to Coles Beach and back.

Don River Railway is open every day of the year except Good Friday and Christmas Day.

Trains operate on the hour, 10am until 3pm, 7 days per week.

Fares

Adults: $17

Seniors Card holders: $15

Aged Pensioners: $13

Children (aged 4-15): $12

Family (2 adults & 2 children): $38

Special concessions are available for groups, bookings are essential.

Site Ticket only (gives access to Museum and site): $10

During daylight saving period (7 Oct 2012 to 7 April 2013) the last train of the day will be at 4pm, and the shop and site will shut one hour later at 5pm.
