Cascade Brewery

Well known for being Australia's oldest continually operating brewery. Cascade is equally well known for its beautiful location nestled in the foothills of Mount Wellington.

Of course it’s known for its beer and soft drinks as well! Operating since 1824, the Cascade range of beers include premium, light and all-malt lager, blonde wheat beer, pale ale, stout and draught bitter. You can take a tour of the brewery, which is found only minutes from Hobart's CBD. Follow the steps involved in brewing beer. The tour fee includes tastings at the end. There is a heritage tour which takes in the three acres of heritage gardens which is suitable for families.

In the renovated Visitor Centre restaurant you can enjoy a snack or a meal or try the Cascade 'Ale & Hearty' beer & food matching experience ($55pp, minimum 6 persons) where great food and beer are matched to complement each other.

The Cascade Walking track runs from the waterfront in Hobart all the way up Mt Wellington for 12.75km. This includes a section just over two kilometres linking the Cascade Brewery gardens to the Hobart Rivulet Park, so you can enjoy a short or long walk as takes your fancy.
