Located in Oatlands, Companion Bakery specialises in sourdough bread. The bakery uses organic flour, locally sourced ingredients and bake the bread in the wood fired ovens. In fact the 18th century Callington Mill is just across the road. Flour produced by the wind-driven mill is used at the Companion Bakery.
Come on in for a drink or lunch. There is great soup to go with their fabulous sourdough bread.
Baking classes are held throughout the year. Shop Hours are 9am to 4.25pm (4pm on Sundays) each day, and is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. The bakery also sells its bread at a variety of locations through Tasmania.
Oatlands is about an hours drive north of Hobart.
