From Hobart: 5-Day Tasmania West & East Coast Tour
265 ReviewsSee the best of Tasmania’s West and East Coasts in 5 action-packed days on this journey around the island, including visits to all the major attractions.
Located just a short drive outside of Hobart’s centre, Domaine A / Stoney Vineyard is a 20-hectare property that produces cool-climate wines. Set among the picturesque Coal River Valley, it encounters a maritime climate that provides ideal grape growing weather.
The business began with a 0.5-hectare vineyard, originally planted in 1973 by former owners Priscilla and George Park, and has since grown to cover 20 hectares of land. The low rainfall levels and mild temperatures provide a long growing season, allowing fruit to ripen to their maximum potential. The position of the vineyard slope also benefits the vines due to the long hours of sunshine they receive.
The varieties grown at Domaine A / Stoney Vineyard include the red grapes of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Pinot Noir and the white grape Sauvignon Blanc. Wines can be tasted at the Cellar Door, which is open to visitors during the day.
Cellar Door Opening Times:
Monday – Friday, 10am – 4pm. Closed Public Holidays.
