The motto of Hotel New York is that they are ‘committed to bringing the best local and national music’ from across the world to their club in Tasmania. They host regular music events, on a weekly basis, which vary in genre of music and scale. They have their collection of resident DJs who mainly play electro and house mash-ups which sound great through the high-tech sound system. The atmosphere is young, fun and lively.
As well as getting famous bands in, they are available to hire out for your own functions. This is a great idea for birthdays or just as a platform for your own music. If you do hold functions at Hotel New York, they have a private bar (although only available to midnight) as well as food catering served by the Manhattan Wine Bar across the road. These are usually platters with foods such as shredded duck, spring rolls, tempura vegetables and other exotic treats.
