Mrs Philpotts
Tasmania
Mrs Philpotts is a beautiful, renovated cottage with restored antique furniture throughout. Perfectly located, it is just a short walk to the city centre, art gallery, the beach and Makers Workshop or the Burnie Park.
The three bedroom cottage is fully self contained and sleeps up to six people. The kitchen is well equipped and breakfast provisions are provided.
Mrs Philpotts was named for Mrs Philpott who lived here until elderly. The house belonged to her mother who died within a few weeks of her daughter's birth. The leadlighting in the front door and surround is magnificent. The roomy bathroom contains a clawfoot bath as well as a spacious shower. Towels and all linen are in place. Enjoy relaxing on the front verandah or at the picnic table out the back.
Free wifi is available.
Lynne and Titch Ferenz also have another two renovated cottages for guests to stay in, The Duck House and Amelia's. The Duck House is right next door and Amelia's is located three houses away, around a corner. In fact the dividing fences have been removed so a vegetable and herb garden can be accessed and utilised by guests from all three cottages.
