Milton Vineyard
Tasmania
Originally farmed for fine Tasmanian wool in 1826, Milton Vineyard on Tasmania’s east coast now focuses on producing small quantities of handmade wine.
The boutique vineyard has a unique micro-climate with suitable conditions for the ancient grape Pinot Noir. The five hectare vineyard also includes the aromatics Pinot Gris, Riesling, and Gewurztraminer. The close attention paid to every detail in the vineyard is evident in the final product.
Warm summers and modest cropping levels typically found on the Freycinet Coast of Tasmania have provided the Dunbabin family with an excellent Pinot Noir, superb Riesling, lively Rosé, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Gris and a complex and distinguished Sparkling Pinot Noir Chardonnay.
All are grown at Milton Vineyard which is meticulously maintained and cared for with attention to detail. The fruit is hand-picked from mid-April and made into wine by award-winning contract winemakers Julian Alcorso, John Schuts, and Greer Carland at Winemaking Tasmania.
