Old Hobart Distillery

Set up just south of Hobart at Blackman's Bay, Casey Overeem's Old Hobart Distillery is only young but has been awarded Australia’s Highest Scoring Whisky for 2012 with ‘Overeem Single Malt Whisky'. This was awarded by the Malt Whisky Society of Australia.

This result followed years of careful research and the knowledge that Tasmania had the right ingredients to produce world-class whisky.

The Old Hobart Distillery secured a distiller’s licence in 2005 and is now in full production with whisky maturing in mainly 100 litre barrels. Regular and 'First Release' products are available in both Port and Sherry matured barrels.
