Launceston: Tamar Valley Wine Tour with Lunch and Cheese
19 ReviewsJoin your driver and wine tour guide to experience some of the finest Tamar Valley wines. Enjoy lunch with a glass of wine and commentary from an expert wine guide.
Situated in the heart of Salamanca Place, under one of the historic grain silos, is Blue Eye Seafood Restaurant. Diners will quickly warm to the relaxed atmosphere and polite staff, not to mention the locally sourced fish, cooked with fresh Tasman ingredients from the nearby markets.
The menu is a seafood lover’s paradise, as Blue Eye combine classic meals with their own personal twist on the flavours and presentation. It would be wise to go hungry too, for the portions are certainly not meagre. Signature baked blue eye, served with eggplant, brocollini and mayonnaise; a sumptuous seafood pie, filled with mussels, blue eye and salmon in a pea cream sauce; crumbed blue grenadier or Bass Strait squid with chunky chips and a punchy tartar sauce. If there is any room left, try and finish with a moreish dark chocolate mousse.
And as an added incentive for families and larger groups, kids eat for just $1 before 7.30pm! You won’t find a better deal than that in Hobart.
