Hartzview Vineyard
Tasmania
The aptly named Hartzview Vineyard benefits from its tranquil, secluded location looking out towards the Hartz Mountains. The estate produces a number of its own wines, ports and liqueurs, and also houses a restaurant and bed & breakfast.
Local attractions such as the Huon Valley, Bruny Island and the nearby Channel draw visitors to this region. Spend the days exploring the area, and put your feet up around the log fire in the evenings with a glass of the estate port or pinot.
At the Hartzview Estate you can take nature walks up to the hayshed, step back in time to discover the local history at the Heritage Listed Pickers Hut Village, dine at the on-site café (click here to view the menu) or visit the Cellar Door to sample all the delicious homemade products - don't miss the Spiced Apple & Honey Liqueur Mead. Accommodation for one/two people will cost between $180-$250 per night. Click here for further info or to book.
Other activities in the area include the Woodbridge Hand Weaving Studio, Grandvewe Sheep Cheesery, Peppermint Bay, Huon Jet Boats, the Apple & Heritage Museum, Cygnet Art Galleries, the Tahune Airwalk, the Panorama Vineyard and the Home Hill Vineyard.
