From Launceston: Cradle Mountain Guided Day Trip
157 ReviewsDiscover Tasmania’s alpine heart and tick the World-Heritage-listed site of Cradle Mountain off your bucket list on a guided day trip from Launceston.
This family owned vineyard is known for producing a number of cool-climate wines. The Frogmore Creek site was chosen for its climatic features, which boasts optimum rainfall levels, sunshine hours and temperatures for growing quality grapes - particularly Pinot Noir, Riesling and Chardonnay.
Parts of the 316-acre property are also used for sustainable farming practices, with over half of the land being used to accommodate animals and dams, and a large proportion set aside for conservation projects.
At the Cellar Door, which is located in the magnificent Coal River Valley wine region, you can sample each of the wines, dine in the restaurant, or browse the two art galleries that are housed inside the building.
In total, Frogmore Creek produces the renowned Frogmore Creek range (of which there are 11 premium wines), as well as a Forty Two Degrees South wine and a Storm Bay wine. Sample each of these in the fine dining restaurant overlooking the picturesque vineyard.
